When the news of the new Navy vessel RFNS Puamau had grounded itself on the reef in Fulaga, social media erupted with questions on how this happened. Whilst not a comprehensive explanation this short video from Leo Williams Vanualailai who is an expert on GIS does at least provide some clue as to what may have happened and how the real life ground (or in this case sea) conditions may have caused the disaster.
