The UFC Heavyweight Champion has indicated that he might switch codes to Boxing.

Former MMA fighter and now analyst Brendan Schraub, has said that Ngannou, could sign up with another MMA promotion with a clause to be able to work with Boxing’s biggest names.

Win, lose or draw, you’re going to get paid. And not only are you going to get paid. You know it’s a big risk especially if you can get it done. Not only are you going to get paid but you’re going to get paid twice.

Nobody’s going to sign a one-fight deal to fight Francis Ngannou. There’s going to be a rematch clause in there at some point. If Francis were to land one which he’s definitely capable of, he’d knock any of those three out. They’re not going to let in him ride off into the sunset.

Ngannou has recently been more vocal about Boxing, after he found out the payday that Fury pocketed after his three matches with Wilder. UFC president Dana White has reminded Ngannou that he is free to do whatever he wants after his next fight.

It’s always been down the line. This is something I’m not taking my eyes off of, it’s going to happen, either way.

Even if, when the UFC and I finalise a deal, the boxing part has to be in it because I can’t see myself retiring without boxing.

Tyson Fury, Deontay Wilder. I would like to test myself to that level.

What does Francis Ngannou bring to the table if he transitions to Boxing? Take a look at this record that he set back in 2017 that is still intact:

But what if he wins his next match, does that mean that the UFC will have to extend his contract or he has to drop it?
