ROMANTIC GIFT BLOOMS ACROSS 80-ACRE FIELD

Lee Wilson, a farmer from Kansas, US, surprised his wife on their 50th wedding anniversary by planting 1.2million sunflowers across an 80-acre field.
Together with the help from his son, Lee wanted to show his affection to his wife in an extraordinary way and so mission “50th Anniversary” was a go, as he meticulously sowed seeds of sunflowers in secrecy during the month of May.
Overwhelmed with joy on the day of their Golden Anniversary, wife Renee said that she felt very special and it couldn’t have been a more perfect anniversary gift than a field of sunflowers.
At the age of 16, the couple met in high school and it has been love at first sight ever since.
It wasnt only them that celebrated their anniversary but also visitors from near and far flocked to the picturesque location to capture the vibrant beauty of the state flower in full bloom.
Due to the abundance of wild sunflowers that grow across its landscape, Kansas is often referred to as the “Sunflower State”.
