Pacific Rugby Brothers : Rome Was Not Built In A Day
Written by Mere Moto on May 15, 2022
The game between the Swire Shipping Fijian Drua and Moana Pasifika was more than just another round of Super Rugby Pacific. This was the first time for these two teams to meet ever. They are both in their first season of Super Rugby and that puts a lot of pressure on the players to perform.
Congratulations to the Fijian Drua winning this first encounter 34-19
But at the end of it all these are players of the Pacific Rugby Family.
As mentioned in a post “This is who we are, we are one people, we are warriors, we have our cultures, we are one”. From the players huddle and prayer to the two captains exchanging gifts we are united in rugby and our cultures.
While lots have been said about both teams the players are punching above their weight in playing at this level of rugby. Brings to mind two sayings
” Trust the Process” and ” Rome was not built in a day”.
