Dug the spud to be tested

Meet Dug ” the spud”.
Dug the potato was dug from a farm near Hamilton and it is believed to be in contention for a Guinness World Record for the Worlds Biggest Potato. Farmers Colin and Donna Craig-Brown have completed the online application form, supplied pictures and a video of the potato.
The Guinness World Records needed more proof, a small piece of the potato has been sent to Scotland for DNA testing. If it is confirmed that it is a potato it could be the biggest potato in the world.
The current Guinness World Record is 4.99kg.
Dug weighs 7.9kg
