Microplastic Everywhere- Even in the brain

A huge study detailed in the Nanomaterials journal has found that not only are microplastics absolutely everywhere, but we’re finding them in places like the brain, which of course is a little alarming. They have also been found in the human placenta, which suggests there really is no escape from these microscopic particulates. It is estimated that 90k plastic particles can enter a single human that drinks bottled water over the course of a year. Currently little is known about their potential impact on human health, but they have been implicated in a number of diseases.
