Former UK Prime Minister Steps Down As MP

Former UK Prime Minister Boris Johnson will step down as an MP with immediate effect. It comes after he received the Partygate report – which looked into claims he misled Parliament over lockdown-breaking parties at Downing Street during the Covid pandemic. In evidence given to the committee in March, Mr Johnson admitted misleading Parliament, but denied doing it on purpose
