TURNING RED

I channeled my inner child this weekend as my daughter hit the big ONE THREE (13). It’s official now, I am the mother of a teenage daughter!!!( If you have any pointers for me, please leave them in the comments section as I feel they will come in handy.) To celebrate her becoming a teen, she was allowed a day out with her girls from school, I can only imagine what this was like and I’m sure the stories of her day will be retold throughout the week.

After her day with her friends, it was time for mother and daughter. So I thought the movies would be a great treat and because I still don’t want her to grow up to fast, we went to watch the movie Turning Red. I recommend this movie for the entire family.

Turning Red is about Mei Lee, who is a 13-year-old girl torn between being her mother’s obedient daughter and the chaos of her youth. As if that were not enough, when she gets too excited, she turns into a big red panda.
