Andy Dufresne (Tom Robbins), a successful banker, is arrested for the murders of his wife and her lover, and is sentenced to life imprisonment at the Shawshank prison. He becomes the most unconventional prisoner where the usual unpleasantness occurs. Over the years, he retains hope and eventually gains the respect of his fellow inmates, especially longtime convict “Red” (Morgan Freeman) and prison officers. He becomes influential within the prison. Eventually, Andrew achieves his ends on his own terms… What does he achieve?? and how?? It’s worth the rewatch!
