World chess champion Magnus Carlsen will release a statement on the Hans Niemann saga. 19-year-old Hans Niemann beat champion Magnus Carlsen in a major upset earlier this month at the Sinquefield Cup. Carlsen quit the tournament without explanation after the defeat,even though there were 6 more rounds to play, sparking suspicion of Niemann cheating. Nieman has denied this allegation saying “he will play naked if he has to”
