From Queen Bey’s 3 Billion USD Renaissance World Tour to successful solo careers: Where are the FORMER SIX MEMEBRS of Destiny’s Child?

Catapulting to success in the late nineties and early noughties, Destiny’s Child was one of the most successful girl groups of all time. Almost everyone could recite ‘Say My Name’ word for word and many of their songs.

Their fame came in sprite of abrupt changes which saw several adaptations of the group’s members and even a last-minute name change.

There was a total of six members over the years but, we are more familiar with the trio Beyonce, Kelly Rowland and Michelle Williams.

But where are the former members of Destiny’s Child now? Here’s what they’re up to today.

Beyonce

She is undeniably the most famous of the group and, after the band split in 2003, she established a huge successful solo career.

Known today as Queen Bey, the star’s vast career includes singing, dancing and acting and has even smashed records.

Beyonce made history as the most nominated female artist in Grammy history, with 32 wins and a total of over 200 million records sold worldwide.

She is currently performing her three-hour long Renaissance Tour, in sold-out stadiums across Europe and North America.

She could potentially earn a whopping $2.2 billion for the tour, which ends in September, according to Forbes.

Outside of her professional career, Beyoncé has been married to rapper Jay-Z since 2008, and they share three children, 11-year-old Blue and twins Sir and Rumi, both five.

Kelly Rowland

Kelly was another original member of the group who has also established a successful career in showbiz.

She has released several albums since her girl group days including, Simply Deep in 2022, Ms. Kelly in 2007, Here I Am in 2011, and Talk a Good Game a couple of years later.

Kelly was the first outside the group to win a Grammy and has also lent her expertise as a judge on The Voice and both The X Factor UK and USA.

The star is married to music manager Tim Weatherspoon and the pair have two children together.

Michelle Williams

Michelle was the last member to join the group and is often the lesser known member of the group.

She has released four solo albums, three of which in the gospel genre. Her most popular song ‘We Break the Dawn’ and ‘Journey to Freedom’.

She also tried her hand at acting in 2003 with a debut in a Broadway production as the title character in Aida.

Kelly was the first outside the group to win a Grammy and has also lent her expertise as a judge on The Voice and both The X Factor UK and USA.

The star is married to music manager Tim Weatherspoon and the pair have two children together.

Michelle also released a memoir in 2021; ‘Checking in: How Getting Real About Depression Saved my life- and can Save Yours’.

In the recent Season 6 of the Terell show, she revealed that she did not want the group to split after their 2004 album, Destiny Fulfilled.

LaTavia Roberson

LaTavia was member of the group, originally called Girl’s Tyme, before it took off.

After years of  limited success, the original quartet which included LaTavia, LeToya, Beyonce and Kelly were signed to Columbia Records in 1997 as Destiny’s Child.

They launched into fame with the release of song “No,No,No” and their best-selling album, The Writing’s on the Wall in 1999 which contained the smash hits “Bills,Bills,Bills” and “Say My Name“.

LaTavia has since then went om to form the R&B group called Anjel, which did not last long.

In March, the performer announced she would share a tell-all documentary called ‘The Reintroduction: I Am Who She Is,’ which would explore her career and battle with alcohol addiction.

LeToya Luckett

Another original member who also left before their success.

After leaving the group and failing with Anjel, she released solo music. Her debut album, LetToya, in 2006 included the hit single ‘Torn”.

She also did a tell-all on life after Destiny’s Child in her digital show ‘Leave it to LeToya’.

She shares daughter Gianna and son Tyson with her estranged husband, Tommicus Walker – who she announced she would split from in 2021.

Farrah Franklin

The final and most-forgotten member of Destiny’s Child is Farrah Franklin who, along with Michelle Williams, replaced the original members LeToya and LeTavia.

Franklin was however, fired after a few months, leaving the group as a trio.

She wasn’t seen or heard from after her short-lived stint and, in the years that followed, made headlines for a number of arrests related to public intoxication and disorderly conduct, according to TMZ.
