Many stayed up to cheer the boys on at 5.30am FJT as they played their hearts out against the home team in the 7s final of the 2024 Olympic Games later settling for the silver medal after their valiant effort. Until the end of the 2024 Olympic Basketball competition and only if Team USA make it into the medal competition, Jerry Tuwai will be able to, but will not in all his humility, be able to say that he has beaten 2 of the greatest names of sports history at the Olympics.
Currently Tuwai now stands ahead of Micheal Jordan who has 2 Olympic Gold medals from the 1984 and 1992 Olympics. He also beats out Lebron James who sits on 3 medals alongside Jerry albeit 2 Gold from 2008 and 2012 respectively and 1 Bronze from 2004, a record now pending the results at the end of the games this year.
An incredible Olympic record and performances that dazzled in Paris 👏

Jerry Tuwai has now cemented himself as the best to ever play the game of 7s with a record of a 3 Olympic medals from 3 games to put alongside his 7s World Cup. If Waisele Serevi was the Wizard of 7s rugby, Jerry Tuwai is King.
