Titanic Makes A Come Back and Beats Avatar 2: The Way of Water

The US box office has seen Avatar: The Way of Water become the third-highest grossing movie of all time, but James Cameron’s Avatar 2 has slipped back to fourth place. A recent re-release of Titanic saw fans flock back to theaters for a new Valentine’s weekend viewing, earning over $6.4 million in ticket sales domestically and $15.9 million internationally. Cameron still has plenty of reasons to smile, as three of the top five highest-grossing movies of all time are movies that he directed. Other films like M3GAN, A Man Called Otto, and Puss in Boots: The Last Wish remained in the top ten, while Missing remained firm in eighth place.
