Hurricanes Star Julian Save Signs With Moana Pasifika

Moana Pasifika have announced that they have signed Super Rugby’s joint top try-scorer and former Hurricanes and All Blacks wing Julian Savea for the 2024 season.
The 33-year-old revealed earlier this month that he has parted ways with the Wellington-based franchise after representing them in 152 matches in 11 seasons during which time he equalled Israel Folau’s record for most Super Rugby tries (60).
Moana Pasifika’s name was the first thrown out by fans when Savea announced he would be signing with another team in the league.
Savea will represent his Samoan heritage, the villages of Siumu, Luatuanu’u, and Falesiu Uta, and suit up in what was looking to be an under-strength Moana backline after the departure of the damaging Levi Aumua and Timoci Tavatavanawai.
