DESHAUNA BARBER : “GIVING UP IS THE BIRTH OF REGRET”

I love watching GoalCast videos because they are so inspirational. Somehow, when life has given me lemons, I more often then not miraculously stumble on a GoalCast video on my newsfeed and it’s always the very thing I need to hear to get me going again.

This morning, this GoalCast video popped up on my Facebook memories and I felt that someone needed to hear these words today.

Before we get into the video a quick back story:

Deshauna Barber is an Army Reserve captain and the first soldier to win the prestigious title of Miss USA, taking the crown in 2016. Barber served her country for more than 10 years and now works as an instructor at Howard University’s Bison Battalion during her Army Reserve commitment. She has made it her life goal to encourage, inspire, and strengthen the people around her.

This is her story on how she became Miss USA 2016.
