Children on school trip get an unexpected surprise

While on a sea safari in the Devon Coast, students got a fright when they saw a fin inthe sea.

The children were on a sea safari in Turquay when their teacher spotted the “predator” and notified boat captain, Ron Hughes.

The captain figured something wasn’t right as he steered his boat closer to the two-feet tall object as it wasn’t moving.

His suspicions were confirmed as he pulled the fin out of the water to find it was attached to a wooden frame.

The fin was carved from hardened insulation foam, painted dark grey and fixed to the framwe that was placed 300 metres off the coast.

Mr Hughes took to facebook and said “I wasn’t fooled for long…….someone has gone to great lengths to create a hoax Great White Shark fin”.
