Gigi Hadid arrested for possession of cannabis

28-year-old model Gigi Hadid was arrested last week in the Caymans after she was found in possession of cannabis.
She arrived at Owen Roberts International Airport with a friend on 10 July via private jet plane and their luggage was seached by customs officials.
The duo was arrested and released on bail.
Hadid and her friend were formally charged two days later at a court appearance and pleaded guilty with a fine of $1,000, according to local outlet Cayman Marl Road.
Hadid’s representative said she was travelling with marijuana purchased legally in New York “with a medical license”.
Hadid has appeared to post about the holiday on Instagram.
After news of her arrest broke, Hadid shared pictures including one of her sunbathing on the beach with friends, alongside the caption: “All’s well that ends well.”
